I don’t believe in love at first sight. Why? I’ll tell you. When two people meet for the first time, love doesn’t just come up suddenly. What comes up is either admiration or lust, not love. Love comes softly. It develops with time. Relationships based on love at first sight, most times don’t last.
Love grows the more you communicate and spend time with the person. Love doesn’t just happen. I’ve met people whom I thought I loved. Time unveiled it all. I found out that what I thought was love, was mere admiration that can’t stand the test of time.
I’ve learnt my lessons. Before I say yes to a relationship, I make sure the person and I have spent a considerable amount of time together. I believe we need to be careful not to rush into any relationship. Give it time. Get to know that person. You’ll save yourself from unnecessary heartaches.
